Anubias nana
Anubias nana is one of the most reliable and beginner-friendly aquarium plants, known for its compact size, thick dark green leaves, and slow, steady growth. Its small form makes it perfect for nano tanks, foreground placement, or attaching to driftwood and rocks for a clean, natural look.
This plant is extremely hardy and does not require CO2Â thriving in low to moderate lighting and a wide range of water conditions. Its slow growth means minimal maintenance, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and low-tech setups.
Anubias nana grows from a rhizome, which should not be buried in the substrate. Instead, it can be easily attached to rocks or wood using glue or thread. Once established, it will gradually spread and form a dense, long-lasting cluster.
It’s especially popular in shrimp tanks, as its broad leaves collect biofilm for grazing and provide ideal resting and hiding spots for shrimp and small fish.
If you're looking for a tough, low-maintenance plant that’s built for real-world aquariums, Anubias nana is a dependable, no-fuss choice.
Grown & Ready to Thrive
Our plants are grown fully submerged in aquarium setups with no CO2, stable temperatures of 70–76°F, and 4–8 hours of light daily. This ensures they are already adapted to real aquarium conditions, making them easier to transition and grow in your tank.
Please note: plants may contain small snails or snail eggs, which are harmless and often beneficial, helping break down waste and support a healthy aquarium ecosystem.
